What You Will Need:
- A hob
- Saucepan
- Water
- Cupcake cases
- Plate
- Candle
How To:
1. Put some water into the saucepan and boil the water on the hob.
2. Whilst the water is boiling I put the cupcake cases onto a plate.
3. I clean away the black marks on the candles and try to get rid of as much of the messy part so that it won't ruin the candle wax tart.
4. Once the water is boiled I put the candle into the water and watch it, making sure it doesn't over heat, I take the pan off of the heat every so often making sure that the bubbling water doesn't rattle the glass jar and cause cracks/smashes.
5. The candle will start melting even when the pan is off the flame, I remove the metal disk that holds the wick once that has come loose and bin it.
TIP: break the candle wax down when it has softened; it will help the wax to melt quicker.
6. Take the candle out of the hot water, use some form of protective glove or tea towel so that you don't burn your fingers, tip the liquid wax into the cupcake cases.
7. You can put the cupcake cases in the fridge or the freezer, what I did was put them near an opened window and about 30 minutes later they had become completely solid.
8. Once they are completely solid you can use them in your tart burner which mine is a Yankee Candle one.
